{"id":8520,"date":"2025-10-29T10:55:05","date_gmt":"2025-10-29T09:55:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rir-air.it\/2025\/10\/29\/satco-reconfigurable-cognitive-satellite-project-advances-successfully\/"},"modified":"2025-10-29T10:55:05","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T09:55:05","slug":"satco-reconfigurable-cognitive-satellite-project-advances-successfully","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rir-air.it\/en\/2025\/10\/29\/satco-reconfigurable-cognitive-satellite-project-advances-successfully\/","title":{"rendered":"SATCO: Reconfigurable Cognitive Satellite Project Advances Successfully"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SATCO: Reconfigurable Cognitive Satellite Project Advances Successfully<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>SATellite COgnitivo Reconfigurabile (SATCO) project<\/strong> has reached an important milestone with the completion of the <strong>Preliminary Design Review (PDR)<\/strong> , paving the way for the development of the first reconfigurable cognitive satellite designed in Veneto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PDR took place at <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.officinastellare.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.officinastellare.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Officina Stellare<\/a><\/strong>, which hosted the project partners: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qascom.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.qascom.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Qascom<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/stellarproject.space\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/stellarproject.space\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stellar Project<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.t4innovation.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.t4innovation.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">T4i Technology for Propulsion and Innovation<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/zoppasindustries.com\/it\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/zoppasindustries.com\/it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Zoppas Industries Heating Element Technologies<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dwave.it\/it\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.dwave.it\/it\/\">Dwave<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dwave.it\/it\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.dwave.it\/it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Universit\u00e0 Ca&#8217; Foscari Venezia<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cisas.unipd.it\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/cisas.unipd.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CISAS Giuseppe Colombo<\/a> <\/strong>and<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unipd.it\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.unipd.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Padova<\/a><\/strong>. The meeting allowed for the sharing and evaluation of the technologies developed by the various partners, laying the foundation for the preliminary design of the SATCO satellite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The satellite, designed to adapt to the needs of the mission, will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Observing the Earth through photometric measurements;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor RF signals from space;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct surveillance on specific events;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support disaster relief operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next step of the project will be <strong>to consolidate the technologies and develop a testbed<\/strong> to simulate realistic operational scenarios, bringing SATCO ever closer to its concrete implementation phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SATCO project represents a virtuous example of <strong>collaboration between universities, industry, and research centers<\/strong> to bring innovation to the Italian and international space sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/rir-air.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/shared-image-1024x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6113\"><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SATCO: Reconfigurable Cognitive Satellite Project Advances Successfully The SATellite COgnitivo Reconfigurabile (SATCO) project has reached an important milestone with the completion of the Preliminary Design Review (PDR) , paving the way for the development of the first reconfigurable cognitive satellite designed in Veneto.
